The D1 error on your POOLICAN device indicates an issue with insufficient water flow. Several factors can cause this. We invite you to check the following points:
Skimmer level and cleanliness: Ensure that the water level in the skimmers is sufficient (at least 2/3 of the opening). Also, check that the baskets are not clogged with debris. A skimmer temporarily emptied by a wave can also cause the pump to lose its prime. In this case, bleeding the air and restarting the device are required.
Clogged filters: A clogged pre-filter or main filter can reduce the flow rate. It is essential to clean them regularly. Water treatments (flocculant, green water treatment) can quickly clog the cartridge filter, significantly reducing the flow. You can remove the filter cartridge to check if the error persists. If the problem is resolved, the cartridge will likely need to be replaced after 48 hours.
Check valve: Ensure that the check valve is not stuck in the open position due to debris.
Flow detector: Although rare, the flow sensor itself may be defective.
To attempt to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
Turn off the RCD (residual current device) of the installation and wait until the POOLICAN screen is completely off.
Reset the RCD and restart the entire installation.
Bleed any air trapped in the pipes using the bleed screw on the cover.
To help us diagnose the problem, please send us clear photos of your installation showing:
An overview of the installation (pool, POOLICAN, pre-filter, and check valve).
The distance between the POOLICAN and the pool, as well as the type and diameter of the hoses used.
The location of the pre-filter and the check valve just before the inlet of the POOLICAN.
As a reminder, installing a pre-filter and a check valve is mandatory for the proper functioning of the device. Furthermore, the distance between the POOLICAN and the pool must not exceed 3.5 meters, even with straight pipes. If this is not the case, the installation must be brought into compliance.
