Issue
You want to efficiently heat your pool.
Origin
Depending on the outdoor temperature and whether your heat pump is in use or not, the heating time for the heat pump varies.
Solution
Make sure that a heat balance has been properly conducted to size your heat pump.
To effectively heat your pool at the beginning of the season or after a long period of non-use of your heat pump, it is necessary for the heat pump to run 24 hours a day for a few days, depending on its power and the size of the pool to be heated.
Operating during the night allows your heat pump to maintain the temperature gained during the day. If you also have a pool cover, we strongly recommend covering it to increase the heat pump's performance.
We note that the first degrees are often the slowest to obtain (a few days), so patience is required.
You can also improve the efficiency of your heat pump by adjusting your bypass setting (see your pool professional if necessary).
Once the desired temperature is reached, you can then reduce the heat pump's operating time to maintain the temperature.
