How to install my POOLEX heat pump?
Please observe the following rules for choosing the location of the heat pump
1. The future location of the unit must be easy to access for easy operation and maintenance.
2. The unit must be installed on the floor, ideally mounted on a level concrete floor. Make sure that the floor is stable enough and can support the weight of the device.
3. A water outlet must be provided in the vicinity of the appliance to preserve the area where it is installed.
4. If necessary, the unit can be raised with suitable pedestals designed to support the weight of the unit.
5. Check that the appliance is properly ventilated, that the air outlet is not oriented towards the windows of neighboring buildings and that no return of stale air is possible. In addition, provide sufficient space around the unit for service and maintenance.
6. The equipment must not be installed in an area exposed to oil, flammable gases, corrosives, sulphurous compounds or near high frequency equipment.
7. Do not install the unit near a road or road to avoid splashing mud.
8. To prevent neighbourhood nuisances, be sure to install the unit so that it is oriented towards the area least sensitive to noise.
9. Keep the device away from children as much as possible.
How to install the heat pump?
How to adjust the bypass?
How to adjust the bypass?
The Kit By pass is a kit including 3 valves, 2 T, 2 elbows of diameter 50 mm, 1 stripper and 1 glue.
It will allow you to easily make your hydraulic connection.
Set the by-pass and control valves as follows:
Valve 1: half open
Valve 2: fully open
Valve 3: 75% open
We recommend that you only half open your intermediate valve to prevent your heat pump from getting into error due to too high water pressure.
How to make the hydraulic connection?
To make a hydraulic connection with By Pass kit please follow these steps:
How to make the electrical connection?
CAUTION: The power supply of the heat pump must be cut before any intervention !
To make an electrical connection, please follow these steps:
What are the P1 and P2 terminals?
Terminals P1 and P2 allow you to connect the filtration pump (or auxiliary pump) to your heat pump to program a servo. Therefore, the heat pump will control the filtration pump. This connection is not mandatory. By default, filtration will control the heat pump via the water flow (water flow sensor present in the heat pump).
What type of cable is needed to connect the heat pump?
Depending on the power of your heat pump, the connection cable will be different. Please refer to your instructions for the correct cable section.
How to drive filtration through your POOLEX heat pump?
If you wish to drive the filter pump through the heat pump, you must connect your filter pump to your heat pump via terminals P1 and P2.
To do this, know that:
If the consumption of your filter pump does not exceed 5 amperes (1000W) you can connect directly to the P1 / P2 terminals with a standard 220-volt power relay to be coupled with a 20-amp magnetothermal protection.
Above 5 amps, you must go through a power relay to make your connections.
What is the ideal distance from the heat pump to my pond?
There is really no ideal distance to install your heat pump from your pool.
The whole thing is to make the right compromise between a sufficient distance to minimize noise and a correct distance between your heat pump and your pond to avoid piping losses.
However, consider installing a magnetothermic protection 30 milliamps at the start meter to protect the line and pump. There is no risk of electrocution but we advise you to place the heat pump 10m from the basin to reduce noise.
